I was going to do a Headless Horseman drawing… but this came out of my pencil, first. I’m REALLY into ink washes, right now, so I threw some of those in there for good measure!
Have a happy and safe Halloween, kids!
I don’t have much to say here, other than how this sketch was done very quickly, and how Mister X is a book worth checking out.
Hey, I kept it short for a change!
Dean Motter’s ‘Mr. X’, originally published by Vortex Comics and more recently, Dark Horse Comics.
Here is my Mr. X entry. I have to admit, I know next to nothing about this character. Most of the images I saw had the cityscape lit up with spotlights. So, because I love drawing buildings, that’s what I went with.
I’d like to take a second and introduce a new Shut Up and Draw contributor that has graciously joined our little sketching party… Mr Johnnie Xmas! You can see his first SUaD piece just below!
This is the scene where Tetsuo goes into the Clowns’ hideout and takes control of the gang. For some reason, this scene is one that stuck with me.
For my Akira theme, I figure everyone pictures the “giant mutated arm-thing”, but I like the scene where Tetsuo realizes his arm is gone.
As a bonus, I’ve included two 3 panel comics done for the fun of it.
Hope you like.
