AKIRA
For my Akira theme, I figure everyone pictures the “giant mutated arm-thing”, but I like the scene where Tetsuo realizes his arm is gone.
As a bonus, I’ve included two 3 panel comics done for the fun of it.

THE DEVIL’S RIGHT HAND
Phew. Got swamped for a few week and I’m slowly catching up on my SUaD posts. A few weeks back, Jason Copland picked an awesome idea to take a song lyric and illustrate what it makes you think of. I chose the Steve Earle song “The Devil’s Right Hand”. It’s a great tune with some kick ass visuals. Next up I’ll be finishing my Batman Rouge’s gallery piece.
Batman Baddy: Clayface
Just got Sketchbook Pro, so this is me playing around with it and trying to get it to work the way I like.
Bane
Maybe this movie will be cool, maybe it won’t. At the very least, Christopher Nolan managed to make Bane, one of the worst designed villains in Batman’s history (and I’m including Egghead from the old TV show), look both cool and menacing.
This was done the old fashioned way. I squeezed a baby octopus until ink came out and smeared it on the paper until it made a picture. Can you think of a better way to do it?
Joker
When thinking about Batman’s gallery of villains, there is only one that pops instantly into my mind. This is my first ever drawing of the Joker. Probably won’t be my last.
Two-Face!
I think I’ve landed somewhere between Bruce Timm’s version and Tim Sale’s, but I’ll flip a coin to decide.

Interpretation of a Song
I chose the Police tune, ‘Tea In The Sahara’ from their final album, ‘Synchronicity’. Not exactly my fave Police album but I liked the images that popped out from the song. I originally pictured the women in burkas but settled for a 19th century western dress.
